Other Benefits of Sleep Day: So Easy Memorization Songs

One of the difficulties for a beginner while learning to play guitar or other musical instrument is to memorize the key and the melody of a song. According to the study, the notes will be easier to remember if you heard her take a nap.

Research conducted at Northwestern University shows that some parts of the brain becomes more active when he sleeps. Night's sleep is not serious, but short sleep duration as short as the 90-minute nap.

In that study, a number of participants who are belakar certain music is played to music while sleeping. During sleep while listening to music, brain activity scanned by a special instrument called Electroencephalography (EEG).

The scans showed increased activity in the brain associated with memory. This increase occurred in slow-wave sleep phases or short-wave sleep, as usually happens when someone is taking a nap.

Similarly, after waking up, the participants become better at playing music that is being studied. Error rate which he did in his playing melodies of the songs played during sleep tend to be better than the control group.

"This finding confirms previous research that external stimulation during sleep can affect the ability of the complex," said Ken A Paller, senior researcher involved in the study as quoted by Science Daily.

According to Paller, increased brain activity during sleep is not only beneficial for those who are studying music. In studying a foreign language, words or terms will be more memorable if played often while sleeping.
